Spiced Popcorn

Serves 2

Spice Mix:

¼ tsp cumin powder

¼ tsp coriander

¼ tsp fennel powder

Pinch red pepper powder

Pinch ginger powder

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

Popcorn:

3 tbsp ghee

½ cup popcorn kernels

Mix the spices in a small bowl. Have a large bowl and big spoon ready for the popped corn.

Melt the ghee in a large pot with a tight fitting lid over high heat. Add the popcorn kernels and cover. Using potholders, grip the sides of the pan to hold the lid in place and slide the pan back and forth over the burner, shaking the kernels until they start to pop. Keep cooking until the popping begins to slow to at least 1-2 seconds between pops.

Moving quickly, transfer the popped corn to the big bowl. Add your spice mix and stir well with the big spoon until everything is coated and lovely. Taste for salt adding more if desired. Enjoy while watching your favourite movie or whilst spending time with your favourite people.
