Creamy Spiced Quinoa Porridge

Start your morning with this Ayurvedic-inspired porridge, designed to warm you from the inside out. The combination of quinoa and warming spices makes it hearty but easy on digestion. The addition of ghee, apples, and nuts provides a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and nourishing qualities to support your energy for the day ahead. It’s also naturally gluten-free and customizable for different dietary needs.

Why this recipe is good for us:

  • Quinoa: Light yet nourishing, quinoa is a sattvic grain that provides grounding energy. It balances all three doshas when cooked, making it ideal for cold winter mornings. Its high protein and fiber content stabilize blood sugar and provide sustained energy.

  • Cinnamon: A warming spice that stimulates digestion and circulation. It’s especially beneficial for calming Vata and Kapha doshas during the colder months.

  • Ghee: A cornerstone of Ayurvedic cooking, ghee nourishes Ojas (vitality), lubricates tissues, and supports a healthy digestive fire. It’s an excellent fat for balancing Vata and Pitta.
