Creamy Spiced Quinoa Porridge

Ingredients:
1 cup quinoa, rinsed
2 cups milk of choice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp ghee or coconut oil
1 small apple, chopped
1 tbsp raisins (optional)
1 tbsp chopped almonds or walnuts
Maple syrup or honey to taste
Instructions:
In a pot, bring the quinoa and milk of choice to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
Stir in the spices, salt, ghee, chopped apple, and raisins. Let it cook for another 5 minutes until everything is soft and fragrant.
Serve warm, topped with nuts and a drizzle of sweetener if desired.
